The holidays are here and we’d all love to be jetting off to sun, sea and sand. But it’s not always that easy. Little things like time and money get in the way sometimes! Here are few ways you and your toddler can have a brilliant time without even leaving the house…
Melt Some Chocolate
Let your toddler be chief mixer to ensure it’s smooth – then take some strawberries or banana pieces and dip them in. Messy but delicious
Hit a Balloon
Tie a blown-up balloon to your washing line. Make bats from stiff cardboard or use the inner tubes from tinfoil. Your tot will love trying to hit the balloon
Scavenger Hunts
Gather some friends together and draw up a list of things to collect. Take a bucket each and off you go to the park or mall- or wherever else you fancy. Treat the kids when the’ve collected everything on their list and present special prize to the one who finds them all.
The Perfect Picnic
Pack your child’s favourite food, lots of water, a ball, a sun hat and some sunscreen and go to the park or the seaside.
ZooZoos
Visit the local zoo and introduce your tot to all the animals and birds. Teach them not to tease or feed the animals.
Have a pool party
Fill the paddling pool and throw in balls or bath toys, then watch your little one have a splashing good time.
